Voting results for Council of Ministers forum announced
MUSCAT: The Secretariat-General of the Council of Ministers announced the results of the voting it launched on November 9 which allowed all society segments the opportunity to choose the topics proposed for discussion at the ‘Together We Progress’ forum within the framework of enhancing communication between the government and the society.
The voting witnessed a wide public response with 4,664 people voting. The voting results showed that the Society and Citizenship category was the highest in terms of vote number accounting for 48 per cent followed by the Future Oman category at 27 per cent and Investment and Economy category at 25 per cent of the total vote number.
The Employment and Labour Market category was voted as the most demanded topic.
Based on the voting results, the ‘Together We Progress’ forum will deal with the following topics: education, higher education, research and innovation, health, social protection system, culture, sports and youth, media, employment and labour market. — ONA
