DOHA: The World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE), a global platform for innovation in education established by the Qatar Foundation, began on November 28, Tuesday at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).

WISE11, the summit’s 11th edition in 2023 will delve into the theme ‘Creative fluency: Human flourishing in the age of Artificial Intelligence (AI).’

The theme explores the intricate connection between humans and the evolving AI landscape and envisions a future where AI supports rather than competes with human potential.

Stavros N Yiannouka, CEO of WISE, says: “WISE11 is a dedicated space where the intersection of human creativity and Artificial Intelligence will be thoroughly examined. We are bringing together leading experts, educators, and innovators from around the world to work hand-in-hand, ensuring that our approach to AI in education centres on the betterment of human lives. The summit is pleased to bring together globally renowned figures and distinct entities to deeply examine the interconnection of AI and learning ecosystems.”

The WISE11 summit will address pivotal topics, including scaling for equity and access, envisioning the classrooms of the future, aligning higher education with an AI-driven job market, building ethical AI systems, and preserving AI and digital sovereignty.
