MUSCAT: HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, presided over the Omani Youth Day celebration held at Al Mouj Walk, on Sunday.

The winners of the fourth Youth Excellence Competition were feted during the event.



The accompanying exhibition, opening to the public until October 30, showcases youth’s experience. The exhibition screens also display leading personalities who are sources of inspiration for younger generations in the artistic, cultural, sports, scientific, research and economic fields.



The event witnessed the signing of sever agreements including for the establishment of the Youth Centre in the Wilayat of Sur in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate with the support of Oman LNG, a funding agreement for establishing a public library within the Youth Center with the support of the Saud Bahwan Charitable Foundation (SBCF), an agreement for supporting youth programmes and activities of the Youth Center with the support of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI).



Also feted at the event were the best three youth start-up enterprises and the sponsors of the youth sector for the year 2023 namely: Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority, Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), Oman LNG, Occidental Oman, Vodafone Oman, Al Madina Real Estate Company, Oman Oil Marketing Company, ITHCA Group, Audi Oman, CC Energy Development Oman and Al Mouj Muscat. — ONA
