The Oman Automobile Association (OAA) and the Sabq Old Cars Endurance Organization, sponsored by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, organized a classic car rally in a number of governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, starting from the Buraimi Governorate and passing through the governorates of Al Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliyah, North and South al Sharqiyah, Muscat, South al Batinah and ending in North al Batinah.



The rally, passing through many heritage and tourist sites, covered a distance estimated at 1,400 km in three days between October 23 and 25. With the participation of 47 classic and old cars, this rally includes cars that are more than 50 years old.



Sulaiman bin Abdullah bin Ali Al Rawahi, Director General of the Oman Automobile Association, confirmed that the Association is interested in hosting these events in cooperation with its partners, with the aim of promoting tourism.

It may be noted that the rally before arriving in the Sultanate of Oman, had commenced in Jordan, passing through Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
