Eight teams to vie for local volleyball title

MUSCAT: Expatriate Volleyball Organisation founded by Khalil al Balushi will organise a one-day men's volleyball tournament on October 6.
Eight teams made up of Omani, Indian, Pakistani and Filipino nationalities will take part in the tournament to be staged at Strike Sports Centre near Oman Automobile Association at Al Maabela, chief organiser Khalil al Balushi said.
The teams that confirmed their presence in the tournament include Seeb Warriors (Oman), Raise the Roof (Oman), Coastal United (India), Pakistan Star Volleyball (Pakistan), Al Sa'd Team (Oman), Al Raka (India), Rebisco Philippines (Philippines) and Gujjar Club (Pakistan).
Some exciting prizes await the winners and top-place teams along with the individual awards, the organiser said.
