Over 4,000 fire-related accidents reported in 2022

Muscat - Over 4,000 (4,186) fire-related accidents were reported in 2022, according to the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
The statistics showed that most of the accidents occurred in residential establishments (1,345), followed by fires in agriculture zones (408) accidents, vehicles (930), commercial establishments (302), waste and residues (839), electrical equipment, lines and poles (234).
There were 50 accidents reported at government facilities, places of worship (8), and 41 in industrial facilities.
NCSI said that Muscat Governorate reported the most accidents (1,307) incidents, followed by North al Batinah Governorate (949), Al Dakhiliyah Governorate (435) ), South al Batinah (367), Dhofar (349) and South al Sharqiyah (235), among others.
