Oman-Saudi committee meets in Riyadh

Riyadh: The Political and Diplomatic Coordination Committee of the Omani-Saudi Coordination Council held its first meeting in Riyadh on Tuesday. The meeting was co-chaired by Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali al Harthy, Under-Secretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, and Dr Saud bin Mohammed al Sati, Deputy Minister for Political Affairs of of Saudi Arabia. The meeting discussed ways of enhancing bilateral relations in line with the directives of the two countries’ leaderships and their aspirations to achieve the interests of their peoples. They also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common concern. This meeting was held in the context of preparation for the first meeting of the Omani-Saudi Coordination Council, headed by foreign ministers of the two countries. The meeting was attended HH Sayyid Faisal bin Turki al Said, Ambassador of Oman to Saudi Arabia, and officials of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs. — ONA
