RAO wins music competitions in Scotland

 
GLASGOW: The Royal Army of Oman’s music band achieved a number of advanced places in the first leg of the international music competition and the qualifiers for the final competitions which will be held in Glasgow, Scotland.

The Royal Army of Oman (RAO) won first place in the infantry and discipline categories and second place in the music play competition that saw the participation of 19 music bands from all over the world. First sergeant Mohammed bin Khamis al Amri won second place in the stick-wielding contest and sergeant Nadir bin Jamaan Jabli came third and captain Abdullah bin Juma al Mihaijri finished fourth.

In a separate competition held in the town of Bridge of Allan, RAO achieved first place in the infantry and discipline competitions which saw the participation of 32 music bands from across the world. Sergeant Nadir bon Jamaan Jabli won first place in the stick-wielding contest and first sergeant Mohammed bin Khamis al Amri won second place. — ONA
