Muscat: Oman Meteorology said that there are chances of rains, including thunderstorms, over the coasts of the Sea of Oman and the Hajar Mountains in the coming hours.
Rising dust and a decrease in horizontal visibility are expected on the road connecting the governorates of Dhofar and Al Dakhiliyah due to active southeasterly winds (15-25 knots.
The areas likely to be affected by the active downward winds are North Sharqiyah and Al Dakhiliyah and parts of the Al Dhahirah and Al Dakhiliyah deserts.
The Sultanate of Oman will be affected by an air depression (low pressure) extending from western India this week.
