Asaad stresses cooperation at GCC-Central Asia Summit

Asaad conveys greetings of His Majesty to leaders of GCC, Central Asia countries

 
JEDDAH: At the behest of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, HH Sayyid Asaad bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs, Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, headed the Sultanate of Oman’s delegation at the 18th GCC leaders consultative meeting and the Gulf summit with Central Asian countries.

The two events were held in the city of Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The summit was chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who said during the opening that the summit was an embodiment of the long-standing ties with the countries of Central Asia and that the challenges facing the world require the unification of efforts.



He stressed the importance of the joint action plan between the Gulf states and the countries of Central Asia.

Meanwhile, HH Sayyid Asaad said that the two regions boast immense resources that constitute an opportunity to enhance joint cooperation, notably in the fields of economy, investment and trade, thus generating common benefits to achieve sustainable development.

HH Sayyid Asaad also conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham and his best wishes to the leaders of GCC and Central Asia countries. He hoped that the meeting would open up a new era in relations between the two sides. --- ONA
