MoD, MoL ink pacts for training and employment

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of Defence signed a number of joint cooperation programmes for work-related training and employment support, on Tuesday.
The cooperation programmes aim at enhancing the skills of job-seekers by providing specialized on-the-job training and work-related training in the military and security fields.
The joint cooperation agreements were signed by Dr Mohammed bin Nasser al Zaabi, Secretary-General at the Ministry of Defence and Dr Mahad bin Said Baawain, Minister of Labour.
From the side of the Royal Guard of Oman (RGO), the joint cooperation programmes were signed by Maj Gen Salim bin Ali al Hosani, Commander of the (RGO), whereas Shaikh Nasr bin Amer al Hosani, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Labour for Labour, signed the programmes on behalf of the Ministry of Labour. — ONA
