Convoys of Omani pilgrims begin to leave Mecca

 
Mecca: Convoys of Omani pilgrims began the trip back home from the Holy Lands after performing the farewell ritual circumambulation ‘tawaf al wadaa’.

Sultan Said al Hinai, Head of the Omani Hajj mission, told Oman News Agency (ONA) that the Hajj mission is scheduled to leave Mecca on July 4 and that it would continue offering its services to the pilgrims until the time it quits the holy places.

As many as 14,000 pilgrims performed Hajj from Oman this year, while the number of Hajj companies stood at 93.
