First rite of Hajj begins tomorrow

Mecca: Pilgrims gathering in Mecca are all set to begin tomorrow, Monday, June 26, corresponding to Dhul Hijjah 8, the first day of Hajj rituals, which is called ‘The Day of Tarwiyah’ or the day of preparing water or water collection.
The pilgrims of the Sultanate of Oman will head to their camps in Mina tomorrow morning, to spend the Day of Tarwiyah, corresponding to the eighth of Dhul Hijjah, and to spend the night there, following the Sunnah of the Messenger, the Prophet Muhammad.
Preparations by the Omani Hajj mission are in full swing as the mission has mobilized all its services and technical units to accompany the country's pilgrims during the performance of the rituals, and to harness the possibilities that help pilgrims perform the rituals in the best conditions, by providing medical care and guidance to the pilgrims.
