Muscat College, Muscat varsity sign research agreement

MUSCAT: Muscat College and Muscat University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that paves the way for fostering research collaboration.
The signing ceremony, held at the Muscat University campus, was attended by distinguished members from both institutions, exemplifying their commitment to advancing scientific research and contributing to Oman's knowledge economy.
The MoU, signed by Prof Khamis al Yahyai, Vice Chancellor of Muscat University, and Dr Khalfan al Masroori, Dean of Muscat College, establishes a framework for joint research endeavours, knowledge exchange, and collaborative research and innovation. This strategic alliance aims to create synergies and amplify the research capabilities of both institutions.
Dr Khalfan al Masroori, Dean of Muscat College, said, the 'research MoU marks a significant milestone towards becoming a research and innovation hub. By collaborating with Muscat University, we aim to create synergies that will amplify our research capabilities and contribute to the socio-economic development of Oman.'
Prof Khamis al Yahyai, Vice Chancellor, Muscat University, also emphasised the importance of this partnership, stating, 'By combining our research strengths and fostering interdisciplinary collaborations, we can collectively address complex challenges, produce impactful research outcomes, and enrich the research ecosystem in Oman.'
