South Al Batinah Governorates gears up for summer tourism season

RUSTAQ: The Directorate of Heritage and Tourism in South Al Batinah Governorate is gearing up for the summer tourism season.
This year, a large number of local tourists are expected to arrive in South Al Batinah Governorate, a key tourist destination in the Sultanate of Oman that boasts natural and cultural tourism potentials. The governorate has witnessed the opening of many hotels and resorts of late to accommodate the increasing number of tourists. In addition, a number of forts and castles have been reopened recently after undergoing renovation operations.
Dr Al Mautasim al Hilali, Director of the Directorate of Heritage and Tourism in North Al Batinah Governorate, said that the directorate constantly monitors the quality of services provided by visitors throughout the year and takes necessary steps to raise the quality and sustainability of the tourism service. The directorate backs all efforts that would boost tourism movement in the governorate by organizing promotional activities for tourist destinations across the governorate including the tourist attractions that are distinguished by fine weather during the summer season.
The Directorate of Heritage and Tourism in North Al Batinah Governorate endeavours to develop tourist events in the governorate all year round. The winter season usually witnesses the organization of most events, but the ministry also seeks to organize tourist activities during the summer season. In proportion to some seasons that attract visitors or in accordance with vacation periods, and this is what actually happened during the blessed Eid Al Fitr holiday last April, as there were initiatives by private companies that organized 3 events in each of the Rustaq Public Park and an event in the outdoor square Nakhal Fort and an event in Wadi Al Maawil Park. — ONA
