Oman wins gold in FIAP Youth Biennial

MUSCAT: Omani photographer Nouf al Siyabi emerged victorious with gold medal in the individual under 21 category at the 41st FIAP Youth Biennial held in Norway.
Nouf stated that the achievement propels her further in her photography career with progress and motivation. She named her award-winning photograph ‘Mystery,’ capturing a candid portrait of a young girl who gazes at the camera with an air of curiosity and wonder.
The Sultanate of Oman showcased its talent with an impressive participation in the competition, submitting a collection of 40 photos contributed by 25 photographers across two age groups (under 21 and under 16).
The judges awarded Oman sixth place in the U-21 category with a score of 324 points, while in the U-16 category, Oman secured seventh place with a score of 353 points.
Moreover, the Sultanate of Oman received two honourary awards at the biennial, highlighting its prowess in the field of photography.
