Al Wahaibi win Billiards Cup and Gold medal at Arab Union Championship

Muscat: The Oman national team player, Mubarak al Wahaibi, won the cup and the two colour medal at the end of the Arab Union Cup for Billiards and Snooker, hosted by Saudi Arabia, with the participation of 12 Arab teams.
Al Wahaibi succeeded in making his way to the final match with high steadfastness, to be a champion in the billiards competition in the 10-ball category, despite the strength competition.
Mubarak initially succeeded in qualifying for the quarter-finals after defeating the Iraqi Karrar in the round of 16, and qualified for the quarter-finals after achieving a comfortable victory over the Saudi Hamza al Awaidi. Then he qualified for the final match after his exciting victory over Saudi Khaled al Otaibi, in the Four League match.
While Mubarak deservedly crowned with the championship cup and the gold medal after valuable victory over the Lebanese Mazen al Barjawi, 9-5.
Mubarak al Wahaibi, expressed the winning happiness saying, “I claimed the title of the competition, the cup and gold medal, which is a long-awaited achievement at the Arab level, that because continuous training, and the motivation that was achieved after winning the bronze medal in the 8-ball pool competition, and this confirms the correct approach in climbing to the top”.
