Military ties discussed with UK defence college delegation

MUSCAT: Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali al Harthy, Under-Secretary of the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs, received here on Sunday a delegation from the Royal College of Defence Studies in the United Kingdom.
Al Harthy briefed the delegation on Oman’s foreign policy and Oman’s stance regarding various regional and international issues.
The meeting was attended by Munthir bin Mahfoudh al Mantheri, Head of the Europe Department, retired Air Vice Marshal Philip Thomas Giles, head of the British delegation, and several officials from the foreign ministry.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views and reviewed several military issues of common interests. The meeting was attended by Brigadier Abdulaziz bin Abdullah al Mandhari, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations and Planning and several senior SAF officers. — ONA
