GCC health ministers to strengthen health cooperation, improve efficiency

 
AL ULA: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Health, took part in the consultative meeting of the GCC ministers of health which was held in Al Ula in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The meeting was chaired by Dr Hilal bin Ali al Sabti, Minister of Health and chairman of the current session.

In his speech, Dr Al Sabti pointed out the importance of continuing to strengthen the health cooperation and upgrading coordination between the health ministries of the GCC countries to improve the level of efficiency of health systems and enable the peoples of the GCC countries to access quality health services.

The minister added that the meeting’s agenda includes various axes that are closely related to the developments taking place in the region whether in the health field and the importance of coordination between the GCC countries in international health forums or those related to the developments in the health and humanitarian situation in some countries of the region.

The meeting also discussed ways of developing and upgrading the GCC health system and the health and humanitarian developments in the Republic of the Sudan.
