Gujarat aim to snap jinx against Mumbai

If this is the last feature of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, then he has made sure that he has shown us the best of himself and these memories are going to last forever.
Players like Ajinkya Rahane and Shivam Dube, who were written off as T20 capable players are currently becoming prime contenders for the Indian national team. This capability of bringing out the best from players makes him precious. On one side, we see RCB writing off players year-after-year and then those players going to other teams and performing and then we have the vintage Dhoni that brings gold out from stones.
One prime example of how is he does all of this is that, in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders, he had the option of sending Moeen Ali and Ambati Rayudu to bat.
Yet he held on to both of them and rather sent Ravindra Jadeja, who was looking rusty in the previous encounters. What happens with this is that, by the time the team reaches play-offs, all the eleven players would have had a top-quality knock
under their belt and hence the odds of them succeeding in a pressure game increases by a big margin. Hats off to Dhoni -- a leader in the true sense!
GT VS MI AT AHMEDABAD
TEAM INFO – The defending champions Gujarat who have dominated and conquered the Indian Premier League, would want to add this feather to their existing glorious crown. One team that they haven’t been able to beat is Mumbai. It will be interesting to see if Arjun Tendulkar is treated like a cricketer and dropped after a major failure or given another chance, just like how it would happen to any player with a golden spoon.
Head-to-Head - Played - 1; Won by GT – 0; Won by MI – 1
GT possible XI – Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya (c), Vijay Shankar, Abhinav Manohar, David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Mohammed Shami, Noor Ahmad, Mohit Sharma
MI possible XI – Rohit Sharma (c), Ishan Kishan (wk), Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav, Tim David, Cameron Green, Nehal Wadhera, Arjun Tendulkar, Piyush Chawla, Jason Behrendorff, Hrithik Shokeen
Pitch & Weather Report - The previous match at this venue saw a hard-fought contest between bat and ball. While the slower bowlers are expected to get a fair bit of assistance from the surface in Ahmedabad, the batters will also chance their arm with relatively shorter boundaries on offer at the venue. It will be a slightly warm evening in Ahmedabad with 1% chance of rain, which should not be a concern.
Match Prediction – Gujarat have looked like a very solid and settled side, yet they had a few hiccups here and there. The main USP of this side is in its all-around capabilities with unbelievable quality in its batting and bowling department. On the other side, even after Mumbai having a short winning streak, which was recently broken by Punjab, there are a lot of concerns with
the bowling department. The team mainly relies on the batting of Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav, their consistency has also been a matter of concern and they would like to look into it. For the time being, I would surely like to back the team in form, that’s Gujarat Titans.

“Cricket is a fantastic game in helping people connect and unite. Some enjoy playing it, while others enjoy watching it. Being a

“It’s a match-up between the place where I was born and where I reside currently. Both these champion sides are warriors and all that I want is a good and closely fought contest between both, which would assure that cricket is a winner at the end of the day. #warofchampions” – Jaypal Dinesh Udeshi, 39, senior telecaller/spinny cars, Indian.
“Kung-fu Pandya has set a new template for T20 success under the guidance of legendary Ashish Nehra. Both together have killed it in the Indian Premier League. I really want Sri Lankan national team to also pick up on this and become world leader in the T20 and do justice with their talent. - Govinnage Dushan Praveena Perera, 34, FOH at Maya Restaurant, Sri Lankan.
“It was 3 years back that I started watching IPL at my school friend’s house in get-together meets. After that, I started playing this game at one of the local academies and now I am my team captain. 'Go aamchi Mumbai go, changla kheltos tumhi'!' -- Reehan
