Bidiya comes alive with three-day celebrations for Eid
The programmes ranged from exhibition for SMEs, craftsmen to beach volleyball and horse races

BIDIYA: The Wilayat of Bidiya in the Governorate of North Al Sharqiyah witnessed several activities and entertainment programmes called 'Min Al Ayidin' which was launched on the occasion of Eid al Fitr on Saturday.
The activities of the three-day programme includes holding of main and several accompanying events at Bidiya Public Park.
The activities of the first day programme included the organisation of an exhibition for small and medium enterprises and craftsmen, and a handicrafts corner with the participation of the Omani Women’s Association (OWA) in the Wilayat of Bidiya.
There was also a children’s theatre which hosted competitions and entertainment games.
In addition to organising sports events like beach volleyball organised by Bidiya Sports Club, there was also marathon events for children under 10 years of age.
On the second day of the entertainment programme, a variety of activities were also held. Notable among them being the horse races in the field of 'Al Mintreb' for traditional horse races, organised by the Horse Sports Committee in the Wilayat of Bidiya, in addition to display of classic vintage cars.
It is worth noting that the activities of the entertainment programme are accompanied by several services available to the public in Bidiya Public Park, as it represents an opportunity for families and members of the local community in Bidiya and the wilayats of North Al Sharqiyah Governorate to enjoy the joys of Eid al Fitr. - ONA
