SALALAH: The Port of Salalah received three cruise ships carrying 9,076 passengers, including 6,292 tourists of various nationalities, as part of its tourism programmes in a number of ports in the world. A large number of the passengers of the three cruise ships toured the most important archaeological, historical and tourist attractions that the Governorate of Dhofar is famous for, in addition to visiting the beaches and traditional markets in Salalah. Due to its distinguished marine location overlooking the Indian Ocean, the Arabian Sea and the Sea of Oman, the Sultanate of Oman annually witnesses an increase in the number of cruise ships. — ONA
