HCC claim Danube Ramadhan Premier League title

MUSCAT: HCC defeated Ayan Muscat by 5 wickets to claim the Danube Group Ramadhan Premier League cricket tournament organised by Al Hail Cricket Team.
The final was held on April 6 where Sheik Irfan from Danube Group presided as the chief guest and Doshambe al Balushi, Waleed, captain of OCT Al Hail CT, were also present for the award ceremony.
In the final, the HCC captain won the toss and elected to field first. Ayan Muscat went on to score 84 runs in the stipulated 10 overs for 8 wickets. Ishtiaq Hussain top-scored with 22 runs and other useful contributions came from Ayaz with 14 runs and Shafeeq with 10 runs. For HCC, Gireesh took two wickets giving away 10 runs.
In reply, HCC reached the target of 85 at the end of 10 overs losing 5 wickets. Gireesh was the top-scorer with 23 runs, played a captain’s innings to helped his team to win the game in the last ball.
Gireesh was declared man of the match in the final, man of the series for his all-rounder performance and he was adjudged as best bowler of the tournament as well. Shafeeq of Ayan Muscat was declared best batsman of the tournament.
The main sponsors for the tournament are Danube Group, who are sponsors for the fourth year in a row. Oman Oasis Company and Baab Al Hail Trading also supported the tournament. The Al Hail Management thanked all the sponsors for their support.
