CPA launches website to compare commodity prices

Muscat: Salim bin Ali bin Salim al Hakmani, chairman of the Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) launched a new system that will help consumers to compare prices of the same commodities in different retail outlets, including supermarkets and hypermarkets in the capital.
Called the 'Price Observatory,' the portal will provide the consumer with a database and information on the comparative prices of 750,000 commodities, including foodstuffs in 21 commercial centers in Muscat Governorate.
The prices can be compared in real-time on the CPA website and the link is given below.

The system will eventually cover retail and commercial outlets in all governorates.
