Oman’s GDP at current prices exceeds RO 44bn

 
Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices increased by 30.0% by the end of December 2022 to reach RO 44,089.5 million compared to RO 33,909.8 million by the end of December 2021, according to the latest data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and information (NCSI).

This rise is attributed mainly to the surge in oil activities at the end of December 2022 by 61.6% to stand at RO 16,619.7 million compared to RO 10,287.5 million in December 2021.

Non-oil activities rose by 16.9% from RO 24,734.9 million by the end of December 2021 to RO 28,925.9 million by the end of December 2022.

Further, industrial activities went up by 23.5% from RO 6,882.3 million by the end of December 2021 to RO 8,501.9 million by the end of December 2022.

Activities of agriculture, forestry and fishing increased by 12.8% from RO 719.2 million to RO 811.5 million by the end of December 2022. Service activities recorded a growth by 14.5% from RO 17,133.4 million to RO 19,612.4 million by the end of September 2022.
