Dead whale washes ashore in Al Wusta

Muscat: The Environment Authority (EA) has reported the death of an Arabian humpback whale in the Al Wusta Governorate.
According to a statement from EA, the dead whale washed up on Kanasa beach in the Wilayat of Mahout in Al Wusta Governorate, and the causes of death have been attributed to fishing nets resulting from operations.
Since Tuesday, experts have been working on the incident in cooperation with the relevant authorities, which includes taking samples from the whale.
