Star hotels' revenues up 50.8 percent in 2023

Muscat: The total revenues of three to five-star hotels increased by 50.8 percent to RO20,790,000, while the occupancy rate recorded a growth of 31.3 percent to reach 53.7 percent, compared to 40.9 percent during the same period in 2022.

The number of guests in three to five-star hotels until the end of January 2023 was 173,313, an increase of 65 percent compared to the same period in 2022.

The number of guests from Oceania increased 383.1 percent from 767 at the end of January 2022 to 3,705,000 until the end of January this year, followed by Europeans 26, 461 to 58,256, with a growth rate of 120.2 percent.

The number of Asian guests increased by 96.1 percent to 21,098 until the end of January this year. The number of GCC guests increased 81.9 percent from 5, 919 to 10, 767 guests.
