Oman, Russia hold political talks session

Muscat: A session of political talks was held here on Thursday between the Sultanate of Oman and the Russian Federation.
The Omani side was headed during the session by Shaikh Khalifa Ali al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs, while the Russian side was headed by Mikhail Bogdanov, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
During the session, the two sides reviewed areas of mutual interest and discussed means of enhancing bilateral cooperation. They also exchanged views on various regional and international matters.
The session was attended by Ilya Morgunov, Ambassador of Russia to Oman, Shaikh Hamad Saif al Rawahi, Head of the International Cooperation Department, Yousef Issa al Zedjali, Head of the East Europe Department and several officials from both sides.
