Foreign minister receives Slovak Deputy PM

Muscat: Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Hamad al Busaidi received in his office here on Tuesday Stefan Holly, Deputy Prime Minister for Legislation and Strategic Planning in the Slovak Republic.
The meeting reviewed areas of economic cooperation between the two countries and opportunities for exchanging expertise.
It also touched on investment diversification in various fields, including those related to strategic planning for infrastructure, reconstruction, digital transformation and industrialization by employing the latest systems, technical structures and artificial intelligence.
The meeting also dealt with the Slovak experience in developing programmes to reduce carbon emissions, promote green industries, stimulate innovation and entrepreneurship and empowering the private sector.
The two sides discussed some regional and international developments of common interest.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Yousef Issa al Raeesi, Head of the East Europe Department, Lenka Mihalikova, non-resident Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to the Sultanate of Oman and some officials from both sides.
