ANKARA: The National Search and Rescue Team of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA), continued carrying out search and rescue operations and providing medical care to the injured at various sites in southeast Turkey following a devastating earthquake the country has witnessed lately.

Mubarak bin Salim al Araimi, Director-General of Operations and Training at the CDAA who has been overseeing the CDAA team since it arrived in Turkey, said that the team embarked on operations as soon as it arrived in Adana on Wednesday after registering with the International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG). The team set up its camp in the Turkish city of Hatay in coordination with the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority of Turkey.

Al Araimi noted that the team has carried out many operations in search of survivors in different locations by using advanced machines and equipment for finding survivors under the rubble.
