Omantel Country Pairs Betterball hosted by Ras Al Hamra Golf Club
MUSCAT: Ras Al Hamra Golf Club in partnership with Omantel hosted the Omantel Country Pairs Betterball on Friday, January 27. The fact that each team is made up of players from the same nation distinguishes this golf competition from others. The monthly competition featured 19 teams in the course.
When all of the results were in, the UK team of Paul Brotherton and Joe Watson and the Omani team of Salim Al Harthy and Hisham Al Siyabi were tied. The total was 46 for both teams. The Omani Team prevailed after the final countback with 18 points versus the UK teams' 16 points.
With 45 points, the United Nations team of Christophe Perringerard (France) and Robbie Joseph (USA) came in third place.
Ras Al Hamra Golf Club Captain said, “We would like to congratulate all our winners and extend a special thank you to Omantel for their generous support.”
Ras Al Hamra Golf Club was founded in 1969 making it the oldest golf club in Oman. Originally a sand course, it was redesigned by Graham Marsh Golf Design and opened as a floodlit grass course in November 2014. Supported by a strong member base as well as home to several local golf societies, Ras Al Hamra Golf Club puts a spotlight on all who visit.
