Oman chairs meeting of GCC committee of postal, telecommunications undersecretaries

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman on Thursday chaired the 29th meeting of GCC committee of postal and telecommunications undersecretaries. The meeting was held via videoconferencing.
Oman was represented at the meeting by Dr Ali Amer al Shidhani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology for Communications and Information Technology.
The meeting discussed a set of issues related to the development of the communications, information technology and postal sectors in GCC states. It also looked into various ways of enhancing joint cooperation across these vital sectors.
At the meeting, the GCC Secretariat General outlined key studies and mechanisms for enhancing the use of telecommunications and posts.
