Governors take oath before Interior minister

MUSCAT: The Governors who are Chairmen of Municipal Council in the governorates on Sunday took the oath of office before Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al Busaidy, Minister of Interior.
The governors are as follows: Dr Yahya bin Badr al Maawali, Governor of South Al Sharqiyah, Shaikh Hilal bin Said al Hajri, Governor of Al Dakhiliyah, Shaikh Saif bin Hamyar Al Malik al Shehi, Governor of South Al Batinah, Shaikh Mu'dhid bin Mohammed al Yaqoubi, Governor of Al Wusta, Najeeb bin Ali al Rowas, Governor of Al Dhahirah, Mohammed bin Sulaiman al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah, Shaikh Ali bin Ahmed al Shamsi, Governor of North Al Sharqiyah and Sayyid Dr Hamad bin Ahmed al Busaidy, Governor of Al Buraimi.
The Minister of Interior wished the governors all success.
He also underscored the importance of the role of Municipal Councils in the upcoming period through the additional powers granted to the councils to serve citizens and the nation -- ONA
