OETC acquires assets from Tanweer
Muscat: Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC), a member of Nama group, has announced that it has acquired from Rural Areas Electricity Company (Tanweer) electrical transmission networks in the Governorate of Musandam and the Wilayat of Haima in Al Wusta Governorate, as of September 1, 2022.

The acquisition makes OETC the owner and the operator of these assets, comprising a total of four 132 kV Grid stations, which are: Tibat 132kV grid station in Bukha province, 132kV grid station in Khasab Wilayat, 132kV grid station in Dibba Wilayat, and 132kV grid station in Haima Wilayat. It also includes the acquisition of the associated transmission lines 132 kV (100 km). The production capacity of the transmission network in the Governorate of Musandam is 2.337 MW

The acquisition is part of OETC’s strategic plans to provide and connect all wilayats and governorates of the Oman with the Main Interconnected Transmission Network.
