MEC celebrates graduation ceremony of batch 2022

MUSCAT: Middle East College (MEC) celebrated the graduation of its 2022 batch in ceremonies organised over two days December 3-4 at the MEC Student Hub.
The ceremony was conducted in six sessions across two days in the presence of dignitaries, the Management, members of the College Board, dignitaries from government and industry, parents, faculty members, academic support staff, and the professional services team. 981 graduates were awarded degrees for several Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes in Engineering, Science and Technology, Business and Management, and Archives and Records Management.
Dr Kiran G R, Dean of Middle East College, presided over the first ceremony for awarding Undergraduate Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas in programmes affiliated with Coventry University and the University of Wolverhampton.
Eng Ali bin Mohammed bin Zahir al Abri, Under-Secretary for Water Resources at the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, presided over the ceremony to award various Undergraduate Bachelor's awards in Business Administration and Business Information Systems.
Majid bin Said bin Sulaiman al Bahri, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Education for Administrative and Financial Affairs, presided over the ceremony to award Undergraduate Bachelor’s in Computing programmes and the Quantity Surveying and Construction Management programme offered in affiliation with Coventry University.
Eng Omar bin Hamdan al Ismaili, CEO of the Telecommunication Regulatory Authority, presided over the ceremony to award Undergraduate Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electronics and Telecommunications and Electronics and Instrumentation, and postgraduate programmes offered in affiliation with Coventry University.
Dr Ali bin Amer al Shidhani, Under-Secretary for Communications and Information Technology at the Ministry of Transportation, Communications, and Information Technology, presided over the ceremony to award the undergraduate degrees in the Logistics management programme offered in collaboration with the Breda University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands.
The final ceremony of Batch 2022 was presided over by Dr Hamad bin Mohammed al Dhweiyani, Chairman of the National Records and Archives Authority, to award undergraduate awards in the Archives and Records Management programme.
The graduates also expressed their joy on this day, and their gratitude to the Middle East College for providing means of knowledge and support during the study period, and thanked all the academic staff and everyone who contributed to the success of this march for the advancement of the country.
