HM meets Shura Council members

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Wednesday received chairman and members of the Shura Council Office at Al-Baraka Palace.
HM the Sultan instructed Shura Council members to focus on powers granted to them by virtue of Oman Council Law and observe significance of integration between their roles and that of municipal councils to avoid any duplication or clash between the tasks of the two institutions.
HM the Sultan stressed the need to prioritize the interest of the nation above all other considerations, notably by strengthening partnership and integration between the Council of Ministers and the Council of Oman, to serve the overall public interest.
HM the Sultan commended the role of Shura Council and its members in achieving the goals entrusted to them specifically by supporting the efforts made in implementing development plans, programmes and promoting growth in accordance with the priorities of each stage of development.
