Traditional camel festival concludes in Ibri

IBRI: The eighth edition of Hamraa Al Doru Camel Festival wrapped up on Saturday.

The festival included Ardha running, camel beauty contests, camel races and traditional camel shows. It was aimed to improve traditional camel sports and shows.

The Hamraa Al Doru Camel Festival is an annual destination for the enthusiasts of camel sports and traditional camel heritage from all over the country and the GCC countries.



The festival comprises a multitude of activities associated with traditional camel shows and heritage and Bedouin life. The festival included a heritage village, souq, in addition to 70 stalls that displayed lots of traditional items and handicrafts.

Shaikh Salim bin Mustahail al Mashani, Adviser at the Diwan of Royal Court, presided over the closing ceremony which was attended by Najee bin Ali al Rawas, Governor of Al Dhahirah. — ONA
