Sultanate of Oman to mark Armed Forces Day

 
MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman will be marking the Armed Forces Day, which falls on December 11 every year, on Sunday.

The Sultan’s Armed Forces have achieved a lot in terms of training, organisation, operations and armament thanks to the attention accorded to it by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander.

Under His Majesty’s leadership, the Sultan’s Armed Forces continue to effectively carry out its great missions and national roles utilising modern-age methods and technologies to conserve the bounties of security and stability in the Sultanate of Oman in an optimal environment that is suitable for keeping development plans in place and translating them into a tangible reality for the benefit of citizens all over the country in accordance with the requirements of Oman Vision 2040.

The Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) have seen several forms of development and modernisation since the outset of the blessed Renaissance initiated by late Sultan Qaboos, may his soul rest in peace. Hence, SAF always remained as a mighty fort and a strong shield that protect the national achievements and safeguard the nation.

SAF continue to support the development plans and make great contributions in various situations.
