Al Jabal Al Akhdhar records 8 degrees during nights

The temperatures are getting lower and sunsets are early. The sun rises much later than before, making nights longer.

“Not yet,” says the weather expert at Oman Met Office. According to the weather forecaster, “Astronomically speaking winter should begin on December 23.”
The maximum temperature was recorded in Fahud, Al Mudhaibi, Adam and Haima, with a high of 32 degrees Celsius and a low ranging between 17 to 19. On the other hand, in Saiq, Al Jabal Al Akhdhar, the night temperatures have gone down to single digit as it recorded a low of 8.5 degrees Celsius at night and a high of 17 degrees Celsius.
People are enjoying the outdoors more, and in some parts of the country, it has been cloudy too.
As per current weather indications, clear to partly cloudy skies are expected over the Governorate of Musandam and the coastal areas of the Sea of Oman, with chances of isolated rain and mainly clear skies over the rest of the governorates with advection of high clouds.
The chances of late-night to early-morning low-level clouds or fog patches over parts of the governorates of Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah, South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta, and Dhofar are expected to continue.
“This is just the pattern of December weather,” the weather forecaster noted.
The weather forecast stated that over most of the governorates, winds would be northerly to northwesterly light to moderate, becoming variable light at night along the coastal areas of the Sea of Oman and easterly to northeasterly along coastal areas of the Arabian Sea.
The Met Office, however, has warned that fog could affect horizontal visibility.
Earlier on Sunday, low clouds and fog intensified over parts of Al Wusta, South Al Sharqiyah and Dhofar governorates.
