South Africa’s ruling party is set to resume talks on Sunday on the future of President Cyril Ramaphosa, who is embroiled in a scandal that has put his presidency at risk.

Pressure is mounting for Ramaphosa to quit or be forced from office over a cash burglary at his farm which he allegedly covered up. The African National Congress (ANC) will hold a “special session of its National Executive Committee” at 12:00 GMT on Sunday, the party said on Saturday.

The committee met briefly in Johannesburg on Friday before telling journalists it would look more closely at the facts of the case against the president.
