Dates for Municipal Council polls announced

Muscat: The Ministry of Interior issued a decision 182 of 2022 announcing the voting days for the elections of municipal council members for the third term.
Based on the Municipal Councils Law issued by Royal Decree 126/2020, on the regulation for the elections of Municipal Council members issued by Ministerial Resolution 92/2022, and based on what the public interest requires.
Article 1
Voting for voters outside the Sultanate of Oman for the municipal council elections for the third term will take place on Sunday, December 18, 2022.
Article Two
Voting for voters within the Sultanate of Oman for the municipal council elections for the third term will take place on Sunday, December 25, 2022.
Article 3
This decision shall be published in the Official Gazette.
