UAE President leaves Oman after two-day visit

Muscat: Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, on Wednesday left Oman after concluding a two-day state visit.

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik bid farewell to the UAE President at the Royal Private airport.

Two countries on Wednesday issued a joint statement emphasising the importance of enhancing cooperation between the private and public sectors of the two countries.

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates held a fraternal meeting at Al Alam Palace on Wednesday morning.

Oman and UAE signed various agreements during the visit.

The Oman Investment Authority (OIA) and its companies signed agreements with the UAE Holding Company (ADQ) worth over RO5 billion.

The Sultanate of Oman and the United Arab Emirates also signed another agreement on Wednesday in the field of cooperation between Oman Railways and Etihad Rail.
