Road network fully restored in North Batinah

Muscat: Nearly 97 percent of the asphalt roads and 95 percent of dirt or unpaved roads affected by the weather have been opened in the governorate of North Al Batinah.
In Musandam, 95 percent of the asphalt roads and 84 of the dirt roads have been opened by the basic services sector.
Around 99 percent of the telecommunications services have been restored in the Musandam governorate and the work is still underway in the Lima area.
The Royal Navy of Oman has deployed its fleet to transport some equipment, materials, and necessary needs to the Lima District in the Musandam Governorate as the area was badly affected by following heavy rains of the last week, which caused interruption of basic services, including the road movement and telecom services.
Meanwhile, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, the Wilayat of Rustaq recorded the highest amount of rainfall at about 40 mm during the period between July 30 -31 until 11 am, followed by Jabel Al Akhdar (25 mm), Dima Wadi Al Tayeen (9 mm), and Al Buraimi (5 mm).
