The search operations are still continuing to find the missing persons who were swept away in strong tidal waves at Al Mughsayl beach in Salalah.
With tourists flocking to Salalah, the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority said that protecting children is the responsibility of parents as they cannot perceive the danger.
The Dhofar Governorate Police allowed the movement of tourists provided they adhere to public safety guidelines, including taking note of the rising water levels.
Meanwhile, Major Saud al Maamari of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) said the concerned authorities have been evaluating the accident site at Al Mughsayl.
He said safety barriers at the location will be changed to prevent visitors from crossing them at any point time.
