Sayyid Asaad arrives in Saudi Arabia

 
Muscat: Assigned by His Majesty the Sultan, His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs, Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, arrived in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Saturday to participate in the Security and Development Summit.

The summit — which brings together members of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the United States, Egypt, and Iraq, as well as Jordan — will cover the latest regional and international developments, as well as means to expand cooperation between the participating countries, particularly in economic fields, as well as food security, energy, and water.



Upon their arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport, Sayyid Asaad and his accompanying delegation were received by Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He was also received by Adel Al-Jubeir, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, "Head of the Honorary Mission", Abdullah bin Saud al Enezi, Saudi Arabia's ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, and a number of Saudi officials and members of the Sultanate of Oman's embassy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.



The official delegation includes Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser al Harrasi, Minister of Information, Eng. Saeed bin Hamoud Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, and Faisal bin Turki al Said, the Sultanate of Oman’s ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Khalifa bin Hamad al Badi, Advisor at His Highness’s Office, Saif bin Ahmed Al Sawafi, Advisor to His Highness’s Office, and a number of officials.
