SEZAD organises 1st Environment Forum

The Special Economic Zone at Duqm (SEZAD) held its 1st Environment Forum in collaboration with a group of companies specialised in providing environmental services and consultancy and other corporates operating in the Zone.
The Forum was presided over by Eng Ahmed bin Hassan al Dheeb, Deputy Chairman of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ) and attended by Shaikh Zahir bin Ali al Sunaidi, Deputy Wali of Duqm, representatives from the Environment Authority and other dignitaries in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm.
The Environment Forum aims to strengthen and develop cooperation between various entities and companies, operating in SEZAD, in the field of environment protection and preservation. This forum serves as a platform to share the expertise of different entities in promoting sustainable environmental development, and find new and innovative mechanisms to solve potential environmental problems and challenges.
The Forum also shed lights to the role played by the Special Economic Zone at Duqm, represented by the Environmental Regulatory Department in cooperation with environmental services companies, with regards to preserving the environment, protecting the biological diversity and assessing the environmental impacts of all economic activities and projects in the Zone.
