Marafiq Duqm welcomes OPAZ Chairman

DUQM: Marafiq recently welcomed a high-level delegation from the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ) headed by Dr Ali bin Masoud al Sunaidy — Chairman of Board of Directors. The objective of the visit was to get to know more about Marafiq’s business and core operations and pay site visits to Marafiq’s major projects in the Duqm Special Economic Zone.
The high- level delegation visited the Duqm Integrated Power & Water Plant (DIPWP) which supplies water and power to Duqm Refinery (OQ8). They also paid a visit to the power plant (operates by the natural gas and developed by Marafiq) which supplies the Duqm residential, commercial, Industrial and tourism zones with power. Moreover, Al Sunaidy and his accompanied group had a site tour in the water production and distribution assets as well as the high voltage power transition line (80 km line supplying power to Ras Markaz).
The visit concluded with an overview presentation highlighting Marafiq’s business model, core assets, projects, corporate social investments, In country value, and human capital.
It’s worth mentioning that Al Sunaidy appreciated Marafiq’s crucial role in the Special Economic Zone and its commitment to providing water and power utilities. He also emphasized on the importance of maintaining high level standards of quality and reliability.
Such a visit emphasized Marafiq’s commitment towards its stakeholders by sustaining good relationships with them and making sure they are always up to date with the company’s related business.
