The metamorphosis of being

Whatever the age, the changes and challenges we go through would only help us evolve to be better and capable people. The only difference is successful people and the others is just on the way individuals respond to situations

If there is anything that is constant then it is a whole lot of changes we come across in life. Butterflies go through it and wonder if they know how beautiful they are going to reach at the final stage. Don’t know if they also know when they are at caterpillar stage and crawling on trees that one day would be flying around exploring flowers of all kind. Space and movement are at different level at each stage.

As caterpillar its movement is rectilinear locomotion and is probably because there is no bone in it. They feed on leaves and move on to the pupation site to develop into the next stage. During that period they make leaves their homes by rolling into it. Is it not amazing that after going through pupa stage they come out with wings flapping to get the air moving and they instantly beautify the world.

Who teaches them what to do at each stage?

In fact in the scientific explanations that the caterpillar’s old body dies and a new body forms inside the protection of cocoon makes us wonder - so what is that gives continuity to this being while transforming from a caterpillar to butterfly?

While pupating does it even think about the end result?

In fact if we look at the animal kingdom they do not waste time and worry thinking about future. However it seems in the deserts the butterflies have a different trend if need be.

Most of the time they could take five to 21 days to come out of the cocoon, but apparently if the conditions are harsh they can wait up to three years as explained by morgridge.org.

Leaves are very important for butterflies and this is where they lay eggs most of the time or the plants because the larvae would have food immediately as they emerge. So who tells them what to do? Is it an intuition backed by experience?

We go through many metamorphoses too in one’s life. Now would it not be easier if we accepted the challenges as part of the processes? Because even the butterfly struggles to break out of the cocoon and spread its wings. It is that controlled environment that keeps it perfect but to enter the world it must wrestle it out. But it is this very struggle that prepares the butterfly to explore the world. No one is supposed to assist the butterfly in this process.

It is the same process parents have to let children go through.

Whatever the age, the changes and challenges we go through would only help us evolve to be better and capable people. The only difference is successful people and the others is just on the way individuals respond to situations. There is an opportunity in every crisis. The key to the secret is simply how we respond to each circumstance we face in life.
