Symposium on atheism highlights monotheism

Muscat: A two-day symposium about atheism and the reality of monotheism kicked off at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) on Tuesday.
The symposium, co-organized by Jabir Bin Zaid Waqf Foundation and Dar Al Kalima Attayiba, focuses on the vision of monotheism and its scholarly interpretation. Lecturers and researchers from the Sultanate of Oman and abroad are participating in the symposium with a view to instilling awareness about monotheism and laying the foundation for a scholarly model that enables dialogue and refutes atheist claims.
The symposium was opened by Shaikh Nasser Hilal al Maawali, Chairman of the State Audit Institution (SAI).
