Finance ministry issues circular to implement supply chain financing scheme

Muscat: The Ministry of Finance issued circular No (5/2022) on the implementation of the Supply Chain Financing (SCF) Scheme to improve liquidity management and facilitate the payment of contractors and suppliers - under contracts worth no less than RO 100,000 – with various government units.
The SCF scheme aims to ensure supply chain sustainability, facilitating the payments of the private sector, supporting the private sector and encouraging it to participate in public tenders.
The Ministry of Finance asked government units to encourage private companies contracted with those units to join the scheme. It also requested those units to provide lists of participating companies.
